If you're planning on breeding shinies then read this, but remember that using this method will only work towards shiny results, while using this you can't breed for IVs or nature's at the same time.

To begin with, your odds of hatching a shiny Pokémon are slim.. 1/8152 (approx) in fact.

Start by grabbing the Pokémon you want in the egg (preferably female) from your own ENGLISH game.

You'll want to pair this with an appropriate (male) Pokémon from another language origin (JAP,FRE,GER,SPA).

Congratulations... Your odds are still slim at 1/1852...but there's more!

Have one of those Pokémon hold a Shiny Charm and your odds look decidedly better at 1/59.

If one of the parents is already shiny...then that becomes 1/46!!

You can still breed for egg moves while using this method, and if both parents have the same nature then the chance of inheritance is higher too, but your IV's will be random.

So remember... Shiny ENG + shiny charm + JAP = 1/46 chance of a shiny hatching!
